The Lombez-Samatan Club receives the OBRC this Sunday, January 26 at 3:15 p.m. in a delicate sporting situation (six row losses), it seems interesting to question a sage among the wise men. René Daubriac, for fifty years leader to the club, born in Samatan, in turn mayor then long president of the LSC, gives us his feeling of the moment as a passionate man as many here, with a reasonable and realistic hope. Interview.

La Dépêche du Midi: What is the balance sheet, even the yield, at this moment of the season?

The performance of the team is rather weak, everyone does a lot here for players and coaches, and managers are not paid in return for the moment. Rather young players are well treated or even pampered and may not be aware of it. They have to pull themselves together with their coaches, it is expected of them but also from the public and all the volunteers who do not count their time for this club of enthusiasts.

Are there short-term solutions?

There is still time to do well for this team. The LSC is not in its place with its workforce, evidenced by the good results of the hopes that chain victories in confidence, even on leaders. Everything lies in a sum of details to be paid, personal faults to erase, of choice on the ground or outside. Youth is not a defect provided that you listen, to understand, to question themselves. Coaches and players must know how to do so.

Can LSC still believe in a great season?

Of course, it is in the Genoa of the LSC to hang on. The scenario of the last match in Morlaàs showed that we could compete with the best until the last minutes even outside, but we did not want to take it definitively. We must still progress on this mental dimension and take advantage of our defeats to bounce back. Life teaches our young players a little more every Sunday.

Do players, do they still have their destiny in hand?

It is obvious to everyone that only players can reverse the course of a season, it will always be the case, even when they curl up on themselves and it happens often. But this is where the leaders, the captain, the few few who are not numerous now, must take charge of the group with the only engine to save themselves and they alone. And then, you have to think of young shoots like the Beyria or Massarin who are happy to see among many others, and who deserve to be supervised or even guided.

What can I say about bearsbell/edges?

It is first of all a very deserving club which, with few means and strong of an agreement that works well, arrived in this federal 2 at a good level. The LSC won there at the start of the season while playing rather well but the locals had made us live an end of game with disheveled game, and it was very little that the score was reversed. It will be the same this Sunday for them, for us the victory is obviously imperative. Go red!
