Oppo Watch X2: Renders of the new smartwatch and details of its features have been spotted

The future Oppo Watch X2 seems to have obtained new certification in China. Three new models, which will succeed the Watch X, are expected to launch in the near future: the standard Watch X2, the Watch

A smartwatch with model number OWW242 has been spotted on the website of TENAA, the country’s telecommunications certification authority. This announcement is supposed to represent one of the new Oppo Watch X2 wearables. It includes a render image showing a round watch face with a color-coordinated bezel and strap, as well as gold accents like the buttons and clasp. The page confirms that this watch has a 345mAh battery, runs Android, and supports an eSIM. Other features recorded are Bluetooth, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, WLAN and NFC.

An Oppo model with number OWW251 is also on the TENAA list. The render shows a black watch with a thinner bezel and an additional bump on one side of the watch, which appears to house two buttons. This watch is closer to the wearable recently seen in a photo shared on Weibo by Oppo product manager Zhou Yibao, which has been marked as an Oppo Watch X2 model. At the time, it was also revealed that at least one of these new smartwatches was capable of detecting high blood pressure.

The TENAA page reveals that this second model has many of the same features as the OWW242 model, but is equipped with a larger 631 mAh battery. The Oppo Watch X2 is expected to launch in February, when the full specifications of these watches will be revealed.
