Galaxy S25: Samsung applications are finally about to change with Gemini

Artificial intelligence now occupies a central place in Samsung's strategies. After collaborating with Google on the AI features of the Galaxy S24, Samsung could go further with the Galaxy S25, by integrating Gemini directly into native applications like Samsung Notes, Calendar and Reminders. A collaboration that could well redefine the way you use your smartphone every day. Or not?

You take a note on the fly, and later, your smartphone summarizes it for you. Or, you photograph an invitation, and presto, the event is added to your calendar. This is what Samsung would prepare for the Galaxy S25, by collaborating with Google and its AI, Gemini. The objective? Make your daily life easier, without you having to lift a finger.

Gemini, soon at the heart of your Samsung applications?

According to a recent leak shared by @chunvn8888 on Twitter/X, Gemini would thus be able — with your permission — to interact with several applications preinstalled on the Galaxy S25:

  • Samsung Notes: Gemini could create new notes, summarize existing ones, and even find content based on a description or title.
  • Samsung Calendar: The AI would be able to create, modify or delete events, with advanced options like creating events from images.
  • Samsung Reminders: Creating, editing or deleting reminders would also become simpler, although some functions are still limited.

These features are expected to be part of the new wave of artificial intelligence capabilities Samsung is rolling out on the Galaxy S25 series, while emphasizing the integration of Google tools. Note that it is also rumored that these new smartphones could include a free subscription to Gemini Advanced, the premium version of Google's virtual assistant.

For the record, the Galaxy S25 will be unveiled on January 22, 2025 at 7 p.m. (French time), with a release date scheduled for February 7, 2025. Gemini, for its part, is already compatible with several applications, such as Gmail, WhatsApp or even Spotify. Let us hope, however, that its integration into native applications brings real added value to users of the future Galaxy S25.
