Nintendo's Pokémon strategy just leaked

Following the official announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2the license Pokémon is the subject of a major new leak, which could convince some fans to buy Big N's next hybrid console.

Pokémon: two distinct versions!

On Thursday January 16, 2025, Nintendo has finally officially unveiled its next console: the Nintendo Switch 2. Larger than the previous Big N console, it offers various improvements, particularly concerning the joysticks. In a new report, we thus learn that the next game Pokémon will be released in two separate versions on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch version is codenamed Gai and the Switch 2 version, Super Gaia.

We don't know what the differences will be between the two versions, but it seems that Game Freak and Nintendo have decided to distinguish them very clearly.
