You are no doubt aware that the Nintendo Switch 2 is undergoing leaks like no console has ever received: the Japanese firm's communication plan did not really go as planned and that would be enough to make furious the thinking heads of the company.
A mess of leaks
If Nintendo committed to unveiling its new console in March at the latest, it seems that the ruthless world of news has done it for it. For months, numerous leaks and rumors, sometimes very well-founded, have revealed the console in all its aspects, from technical specifications to its format and its potential appearance. A priori, the machine should therefore have Nvidia's DLSS, a technology that would allow it to display 4K while benefiting from a very good framerate, finally with substantial RAM and storage space.
-In terms of format, the screen would also be much larger, around 8 inches: on this side, an accessory manufacturer even unveiled its own mock-up of the console during CES 2025 in Las Vegas, revealing the shape the machine before its time as well as its Joy-Con, larger and which would be magnetic. From now on, everyone is waiting for a reveal which does not seem to happen.
Nintendo would be more than upset
Leaks, publishers and manufacturers don't really like it, we won't teach you anything. But such important leaks, even going so far as to reveal the console and its design in video, are unprecedented and according to former Nintendo public relations managers Kit and Krysta (who have their own YouTube channel), they are sure and certain of the fact that the Kyoto firm is beside itself.
“I'm 100% sure that they're crazy, crazy… They're very, very, very upset about all this.”they declare. Moreover, Genki, the accessories manufacturer having revealed the appearance of the Switch 2 and having even relied on it in its marketing, would have received a visit from Nintendo lawyers directly on its stand at CES 2025. The company would have however claimed to have not “nothing to worry about”since having not signed any confidentiality agreement.
