Big fans of the saga Mario Kart took out their best magnifying glass to decipher the few images of the new opus, broadcast during the short presentation of the Nintendo Switch 2.

The officialization of the Switch 2 therefore hides a teaser of Nintendo's future racing game, which could be called Mario Kart 9. It could be available at the launch of the console (this summer?), enough to offer a huge commercial argument to the console. The main novelty of Mario Kart of the Nintendo Switch 2 will perhaps be based on the number of participants in the same race. Until now, sessions were limited to 12 opponents, but we could increase to 24, according to certain details of the teaser. The latter shows a starting line with 24 locations, while you can count up to 17 characters on the same image. If you look closely at the karts, you can see that they are equipped with what looks like a tank. Will there be a fuel management mechanic in this future Mario Kart ? This is a possible theory, supported by another element: the desert circuit shows a Yoshi's gas station with a new object block. The name
Ce Mario Kart should probably bear the name of Mario Kart 9even if the most knowledgeable fans will not fail to remember that the ninth episode is in reality Mario Kart Tour (mobile adaptation). Indeed, we can guess the number “9” disguised as the letter “G” in one of the images.
