In 2021, national athletics was classified among the poor performers in the fight against doping
by the international body responsible for surveillance and anti-doping control, the Integrity Unit of Athletics (AIU). Since then, it has been reclassified in the category A, that of countries at high risk in terms of doping and placed under close surveillance in this matter.
The situation has just evolved. Athletics Integrity Unit (the IAU), in a new assessment, recently revealed, repositions, this time, the Morocco In category B, that of countries with a low risk of doping.
This positive reclassification is the result of the efforts of the Moroccan Anti-Doping Agency (AMAD), which in close collaboration with the World Anti-Doping Agency (l’OR), managed to put in place a broad program of supervision, training, information, awareness and control allowing Morocco to improve its control index and comply with its obligations and the requirements of international bodies anti-doping.
