Today, Meta is introducing a whole bunch of new features to WhatsApp. At least that’s what we learn when we discover this post published by Meta on his blog. The firm is, for example, launching new ways to use stickers, or even camera effects during video calls.

New at Whatsapp
Let’s start with the visual effects: in this new update, WhatsApp can now allow users to choose from 30 different backgrounds, filters and effects to modify your snaps when you save and send photos/videos to your contacts and groups discussion. Additionally, during a WhatsApp conversation, you can double-tap a message to view your most-used reactions in a scrollable interface and quickly respond with the appropriate one.
WhatsApp is also going after stickers: WhatsApp now allows you to turn your selfies into stickers. By tapping the “Create” icon in the stickers menu, you will find a camera option to take a selfie and create your own sticker, then directly usable in a written conversation. On the other hand, WhatsApp also allows you to share sticker packs with friends. To do this, go to a conversation, then open the stickers menu, then tap the three-dot button next to a sticker pack and finally tap Send. A link to the sticker pack will be directly pasted into the text field to send to a friend. Note that, according to Meta, this function is currently only available to users with an Android device (although it should be accessible to owners of an iOS smartphone in the near future.
