GeForce RTX 5080, prices in euros for Gigabyte's AORUS, AERO and Gaming editions arrive

The recommended retail price revealed by Nvidia for its GeForce RTX 5080 at CES seems far from reality, at least if we are to believe the first listings from Gigabyte and a European retailer. A set of 8 custom models from Gigabyte have already been listed, but only one meets the suggested retail price (MSRP) set by NVIDIA.

In Finland, the Founders Edition version of the GeForce RTX 5080 costs 1,229 euros, according to NVIDIA. However, availability and launch stocks are not yet known. As for personalized versions, Gigabyte stands out through different editions including the AORUS, AERO and Gaming. They are ready to be marketed but the first prices are significantly higher than that recommended by Nvidia

At the time of writing this article to buy a GeForce RTX 5080 at MSRP price, the only option is the GeForce RTX 5080 WindForce OC, priced at 1,229 euros. On the other hand, the other models present significant increases: at least 15% more, with certain cards reaching premiums of 35%, such as the AORUS Xtreme WaterForce offered at 1,669 euros.

Prices of different GeForce RTX 5080s from Gigabyte

Here are some examples of the prices listed:

  • GeForce RTX 5080 AORUS Xtreme WaterForce : 1 669,00 €
  • GeForce RTX 5080 AERO OC : 1 419,00 €
  • GeForce RTX 5080 WindForce 3 OC : 1 229,00 €

This first vision of prices reflects positions that are increasingly difficult to access for average budgets. For comparison, high-end $999 graphics cards without specific add-ons would have been unimaginable a few years ago.

For the moment, the prices of competing models from Asus and MSI have not yet been revealed. However, it is likely that these brands will also offer models at MSRP prices, notably through their PRIME and VENTUS editions.
