A small tablet with a handy stylus
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite version 2024 greatly resembles its predecessor. Its neat matte aluminum back gives it a bit of a premium look, and that doesn’t displease us. Above all, it is still as compact and light with its 465 g on the scale, promising a good feeling in the hand. Concerning its screen, we are treated here to a 10.4 inch panel, framed by fairly thick borders (too bad) and presenting a definition of 2000 x 1200 pixels. It’s certainly not Amoled, but the quality of this screen should be more than enough to watch videos or take notes comfortably.
Taking notes will be made easier by the S Pen stylus that comes with the tablet. Samsung also wants to highlight its Notes application, which offers transcription or the possibility of drawing sketches. Creative people will also appreciate this stylus which will simplify their work. Once their task is accomplished, they can attach the S Pen using a magnet system to the tablet. It will also recharge like this.
A good tablet for everyday use
On the audio side, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has two Dolby Atmos compatible AKG speakers; to watch series or content on YouTube, it’s very pleasant. In terms of performance, it is an Exynos 1280 chip which takes place in the bowels of the tablet. Here it is supported by 4 GB of RAM. If this chip allows you to perform all light everyday tasks (web browsing, word processing, streaming series, etc.) without a hitch, it could suffer from some slowness when opening demanding applications. It won’t shine when it comes to multitasking or gaming, unfortunately.
As for storage space, this amounts to 128 GB, but rest assured, it is expandable via microSD. The tablet also runs Android 14 and integrates the One UI 6.1 interface, which offers a very fluid and intuitive user experience. Finally, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite contains a 7,040 mAh battery, which, according to the brand, allows you to play videos without interruption for 14 hours.
