By updating the Google app to version 15.50+ you should be able to find the feature “Make calls and send messages without unlocking” in the Settings app. However, users will need to ensure that the Gemini extensions for Messages and Phone are enabled within Gemini for the feature to work.
A practical feature
This feature can be very useful when you don’t have a free hand or can’t easily reach the phone to unlock the screen. It’s especially convenient in cold weather because you don’t have to take off your glove and unlock the screen every time you want to make a call. As someone who has tested this feature, I would recommend making sure your contact names are distinct enough that Gemini can easily find the person you want to call.
