A gaming smartphone maker, zTE, has launched its latest budget smartphone, the Nubia Music 2. The company’s new music-focused smartphone features a 2.1-channel audio system with a total of three full range speakers. According to ZTE, the phone’s DTS:X Ultra configuration can produce a maximum volume of 95 dB. Additionally, the phone also supports spatial audio.
When it comes to design, the smartphone looks a lot like its predecessor, the Nubia Music, except for a few details. For example, the predecessor is equipped with two 3.5mm audio jacks, while the sequel now only has one 3.5mm audio jack. Another new feature: LED strips that light up at the same time as your music tracks.
The Music 2 smartphone is equipped with a low-performance Unisoc T7200 chipset (a rebranding of the original Unisoc T606), combined with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage without the possibility of expansion. It runs Android U, and there’s no word on software support, indicating that software updates may never arrive.
This budget smartphone is equipped with a 50 MP main camera and a 5 MP selfie camera on the front. It features a 6.7-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the phone has a 5,000mAh battery that supports wired charging of 10 W. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, VoLTE support, expandable RAM up to 8GB, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi, and NFC.
