Next month, Capcom will release its new video game steamroller: Monster Hunter Wilds promises to be a very big piece and the firm wants to put all the chances on its side with a new beta announced.
The hunt resumes
Capcom can boast of having several gooses that lay golden eggs and one of the most beneficial is called Monster Hunter: it’s simple, the World opus is quite simply the best-selling game in its history while the Rise episode isn’t that far behind. Both titles are now starting to show their age and the time has come to give it another coat, and a very thick one: Monster Hunter Wilds will arrive on February 28, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series… and the schedule promises to be busy.
Playable alone or up to four online, this new title will take us to the Forbidden Lands, a still unexplored region which is home to a gigantic open-worldwith varied biomes and above all, with numerous monsters to hunt. The gameplay will gain depth, offering a Focus mode which will complement ordinary attacks and guards, while the environment will benefit from a varied and unpredictable weather climate, which can change the course of a game. In any case, that’s what Capcom promises, announcing here the most polished experience in the history of the franchise.
A beta to better prepare
Because players’ opinions are always good to take for a project of this size, Capcom therefore announces a second beta which will be held over two weekends:
- The first is organized from February 7 (4 a.m.) to February 10 (4 a.m.)
- The second is organized from February 14 (4 a.m.) to February 17 (4 a.m.)
In a dedicated video, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto (who has also created a character that looks just like him) specifies that this new beta will rather be a new version of the first. We will therefore find similar content there, but with technical improvements, balancing as well as the new monster Gypceros that we can now hunt. Incidentally, note that participating in the beta will give you some bonuses in the final game which, we remind you, will be available on February 28.
