If Dangbei showed off its Freedo at CES, a small video projector which should arrive in France in March, the Chinese manufacturer took the opportunity to unveil a high-end model that is attractive in more than one way. Its future MP1 Max should go even further than the already very good Mars Pro 2 4K that we tested and which was already displayed with excellent brightness. This new, even more high-end model will still offer 4K definition, but with a hybrid source which finally switches to trilaser, coupled with an LED.

A nice technical sheet and few complaints to make on paper
The manufacturer announces 3100 ISO lumens compared to 2450 on the Mars Pro 2 and the gain should therefore be significant during our measurements. Dangbei also promises perfect calibration when leaving the factory as well as 110% coverage of BT.2020, elements that we will of course not fail to check.
Otherwise, we will find two 12 W speakers for the audio part and of course Google TV on the OS side to take advantage of all its streaming applications. The connectivity consists of two HDMI ports including an eARC, a USB 3.0 port, a mini-jack socket and wifi 6 and present, just like Bluetooth 5.2.
Finally, the manufacturer has decided to take the step of the fully integrated foot this year, an element which was unfortunately missing from the Mars Pro 2. We will therefore be able to easily orient the projector which also has a correction of the focus and the automatic keystone , enough to watch your films in good conditions.
See you this summer (if the schedule is respected) to be able to get your hands on this model which is likely to assert itself as a major competitor on the market, at a price which should be less than €2,000.
