Throughout the rumors, countless in recent months, around the Switch 2we are starting to have a good idea of the design of the future hybrid console Nintendo…which should look a lot like the current one! The manufacturer would not seek to reinvent the wheel given the success of the first generation of the Switch which is approaching 150 million units sold.

However, rumors remain rumors and caution is required. Except that the last batch is very credible, they are 3D renderings produced by OnLeaks, an extremely reliable French leaker, very rarely found fault. If nothing should be taken at face value until Nintendo has confirmed anything, these images nonetheless remain extremely credible.
In any case, they confirm the presence of two USB-C ports (one at the bottom, one on the upper edge), a cartridge port, the magnetic rail for the Joy-Con and an additional button at the level of the triggers, probably to remove the controllers from the tablet. A “C” button with a still mysterious use is present under the ignition button.
Anyone who has followed the Switch 2 rumor mill will not be surprised by these renderings. The prop makers didn’t wait to spill the beans, and at CES the models circulated almost freely! But again, some credit can be given to OnLeaks.

We will take the “information” given by the site with more caution 91mobiles who publishes the visuals: he is in fact talking about an 8.4 inch OLED screen. The 8-inch diagonal has indeed already been mentioned, but the general consensus is that Nintendo chose the LCD for cost reasons.
If Nintendo plays it safe, resellers are actively preparing for the launch of the console which could take place as early as April. The American network GameStop has already recorded in its database numerous references to accessories for the Switch 2, with the corresponding prices; unfortunately, the console itself (and its price!) is absent.
On the French Cultura side, there is also excitement. A page was briefly put online for pre-orders (see an archive here); the description of the page left no doubt: “ Discover the Nintendo Switch 2 on Cultura.com: improved performance, new features and an even more immersive gaming experience for all gamers! Soon for pre-order. Free in-store delivery! ».
However, the main ingredient is still missing: the official announcement from Nintendo. The manufacturer has promised to present the successor to the Switch before March 31, and no one knows when exactly this curtain will raise. Maybe things are rushing: the banner of the company’s Twitter account in Japan has been changed. We can see Mario and Luigi presenting… nothing at all for the moment.
