The terrible fires ravaging Los Angeles and its region have now affected the Hollywood district and many stars have seen their properties go up in smoke.
Jamie Lee Curtis couldn’t hold back her tears on the set of Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show. The actress expressed her empathy for her acquaintances and loved ones who were hit hard. A few hours earlier, Jamie Lee Curtis shared a video that showed the devastation in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood. She confirmed that her home was spared.
James Woods was not so lucky. The actor spoke to CNN.
“One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone. There was so much chaos, it was like an inferno. All the houses were on fire around us,” the septuagenarian said, in tears, on the American news channel.
Laeticia Halliday: “We lost everything…”
Another heavily affected personality, Laeticia Halliday. Johnny’s partner shared a video of the family home going up in smoke.
“We lost everything… There’s nothing left. I saw our house go to ashes, helpless in the face of the flames which took everything away. This video haunts my heart,” comments Laeticia.
“This house was our refuge in the chaos of grief, our anchor when everything seemed to be falling apart. Everything has disappeared… and with it, a part of my soul. The sorrow is endless. I think of my neighbors, of my friends of those who lost everything, of this village of Pacific Palisades that we loved so much for 17 years and which gave us so much. We are devastated, but together we will try to be reborn one day, even in the middle of these ruins,” she continues before thanking her fans for their support.
Paris Hilton too
Paris Hilton said she was devastated. The reality TV star spoke on her Instagram account on Wednesday. “I am heartbroken and have no words to express my grief. (…) Sitting with my family, watching the news on television, I see my house in Malibu devoured by flames live. I don’t wish anyone to experience such a tragedy.”
In the rest of her message, Paris Hilton remembers this “dream of building a life filled with memories” that she shared with her husband since 2021, Carter Reum, and their two children, Phoenix (23 months) and London (14 month).
“Despite the pain, I am relieved that my loved ones and my animals are safe and sound. My heart and prayers go out to all the families affected by these fires,” notes the businesswoman.
A smoking wreck for Adam Brody
The home of Adam Brody and Leighton Meester was also destroyed by the fires. The couple’s five-bedroom, six-bathroom property was hit in the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood and was left a smoldering wreck.
Adam Brody, 45, and Leighton Meester, 38, were last seen at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, just two days before the out-of-control fires broke out. The couple purchased the home in 2019 for $6.5 million and live there with their two young children.
Ben Affleck’s $20 million Pacific Palisades bachelor pad was also destroyed, as was Anna Faris’ home. Reality TV stars Spencer Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag also lost their homes.
We still note the names of Ricki Lake, Eugene Levy, John Goodman, Anna Faris, Diane Warren, Leighton Meester, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag who all suffered to varying degrees from the devastating flames.
