While the announcement of Nintendo’s next console is closer than ever, we still don’t know anything about the games that will accompany the machine. These rumors could tell us more.
Not just Mario and Zelda
Anticipation around the Nintendo Switch 2 continues to grow, and rumors are rife regarding the games that will accompany the release of this new console. While the functionalities of the machine become clearer, it is mainly a question of knowing what the launch titles will be: Mario Kart 9? A new Zelda ? According to insider Nash Weedle, recently posted a cryptic message on the issue.
See No Man’s Sky for Switch on Amazon
Fans quickly interpreted this message as the announcement of the arrival of No Man’s Sky on the Switch 2. Today, the space exploration game is already available on the Switch current. Knowing that Switch titles will be backwards compatible with the new console, we already know that No Man’s Sky will be playable on the latter. That dtt, remains to be seen if there will be an upgrade patch to use the performance of the new machine to the maximum. Rumors claim that the successor to the Switch will feature a powerful comparable to that of the PlayStation 4 Pro.
Relaunch the Gotham Project?
Furthermore, another game could also land on the new console with the red logo. Lukasz Loziński, a developer who worked on an unreleased version of Gotham Knights, mentions in his LinkedIn CV that the game was also planned for two non-marketed consolesthese versions probably intended for the PS4 and Xbox One were ultimately never released. Gotham Knights was rated by the ESRB (the American rating agency) for Nintendo Switch en 2023but the port never took place, the mention has since been removed. Surely, as with the PS4 and Xbox One versions, Warner Bros Games was stuck on a question of performance. The company explained in 2022 that it wanted to “provide players with the best possible experience” for the PS4 and Xbox One versions, which were officially canceled. According to rumors, the more powerful capabilities of the next console would allow the game to run satisfactorily. These are all just rumors for now…
