In 2024, French DJs shined under the Boiler Room spotlight. Fiery sets, intense moments and technical feats. A look back at the most memorable performances of the year!
GЯEG
On October 10, GЯEG ignited the SYSTEM: Mauritius event, organized by Boiler Room in Port Louis. With a set mixing Sega, Shatta, Dembow and Dancehall, he sublimated the Mauritian musical richness and carried these colors high. A performance praised for its boundless energy and which only asked to push the walls. We are ready to bet on a breakthrough for GIEG internationally.
Anetha
Let’s not waste time on presentations, Anetha, new boss of French techno, is still doing wonders. In Barcelona for an evening called Mama Told Ya, she offered a techno set that is gaining momentum. It hits hard with excellent management of intensities, mixing in turn Joy Orbinson, 666uba or Randomer’s ‘DHM JAM’. Not in lace!
Mac Declos
It was at the Glitch Festival in Malta, in August 2024, that one of the stars of the Mama Told Ya stable, Mac Declos, shone on the Boiler Room stage. With a selection of dynamic techno tracks and a striking technical ambiance ‘groove pur et dur’ as he theorized at Tsugi, he was the one who carried the crowd away, from start to finish. And us with it.
I Hate Models
I Hate Models literally blew up their Boiler Room at the Teletech Festival. The recipe? An explosive cocktail of hard techno and acid. He didn’t hesitate to push the limits, just to prove that he can blow up heads… and eardrums. He kept his t-shirt on for the first 4:30 minutes of the set, one of his best scores.
Lacchesi
For his first Boiler Room filmed, Lacchesi opened and closed his set with Pink Floyd’s “Echoes.” Just to set an atmosphere before unleashing his mental techno, groove and disco. For an hour, he chained bangers (yes, that’s still being said in 2025) with a ninja technique. The Boiler Room stage is his playground, especially when you are given confidence by ‘mama’ Anetha, in an evening where Boys Noize and X Club also shone.
-Baraka
Formed in 2020, the duo Cristofeu – Hawa Sarita fuses poetic singing, acid and synthetic layers, all sprinkled with a Massive Attack vibe with a hint of Björk. But it is on stage that the alchemy operates: together they transform any place into dancefloor pest, as evidenced by their notable appearance at the Boiler Room Berlin. Between complicity and precision, they rock with impeccable mix management, going from “Next Stop Oblivion” by Z to A to “Visions” by Astrix, without ever losing energy.
Cassie Raptor
On the menu, a massive dose of shaking techno, with tracks by Hålbå and NEAGLES. In an interview for TsugiCassie Raptor revealed her love at first sight for techno during her very first club trip, a passion that she transmits with explosive energy in each of her sets.
Felicie
Félicie, an increasingly prominent figure in techno, did not disappoint for her Boiler Room Paris last May with a supercharged set, downright on speed. Chaining the tracks, she maintained an intense base and rhythm groovybefore increase in power without barely leaving a second to catch his breath. Result: crowd in a trance.
caravel
Caravel, French DJ and producer, put Boiler Room: Paris on track in May 2024 with a set mixing industrial, melodic and raw techno. The set opens with “Genesis” by Justice. Caravel continues with “Earth Reloading” by Talamasca, Chrizzlix and Psyfiction, adding a touch of psytrance to his performance. Highlights include her own track “Shanti,” demonstrating her ability to produce tracks that resonate with the audience.
