Being able to make a call on the train comfortably seated in your seat without disturbing your neighbor. This is the promise of the Toulouse start-up Skyted with the arrival on the market of its new Skyted 320 helmet. The latter amplifies the voice discreetly using artificial intelligence to enable clear communication in noisy environments such as trains, planes or restaurants.
“The question I asked myself is simple: How can 300 passengers on a plane make a call simultaneously without fighting among themselves?” smiles Stéphane Hersen, founder and CEO of Skyted. With this new headset, it is possible to speak in a low voice and thus avoid disturbing the people around you. In fact, the interlocutor at the other end of the line benefits from the amplification of the voice to hear, despite the whisper of the caller.
Founded in 2021 and based in Labège near Toulouse, the start-up Skyted will present its new helmet in Las Vegas during the largest exhibition dedicated to technological and electronic innovation: the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) from January 7 to 10, 2025.
The Toulouse company with 20 employees was already able to go to the American show last year to present a much larger mask also allowing calls to be made in public in complete discretion.
