December 2024 by Marc Jacob
Infosys has obtained regulatory approval for its BCR policy from the Data Protection Authority of Hesse, Germany, following approval from the European Data Protection Board (EDPB).
BCRs provide a legal framework within which companies can transfer personal data within other entities within their Group internationally. Two sets of BCRs have been approved for Infosys, one as Data Controller (BCR-C) and the other as Data Processor (BCR-P).
This BCR certification, which was achieved for both Infosys data and that of its customers, reinforces the company’s commitment to maintaining consistent standards when it comes to data privacy and protection. It further enables seamless transfer of personal information from Europe to any Infosys Group location globally, and is an important milestone in cross-border data transfers as AI takes over. preponderant.
