A few days after the release of the first open beta of Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta for the CMF Phone 1, the same type of software became available for its 2024 cousin, the Phone (2a) Plus (currently available for $409.50 with 12 GB of RAM on Amazon).

As a result, the Dimensity 7350 now has a first official look at Android 15, just like its predecessor. The Phone (1) is, as its name suggests, Nothing’s very first mobile device, but it is no slouch in terms of development.

Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta for Phone (1) and (2a) Plus features the same changelog as CMF Phone 1, with support for new loading and lock screen animations, as well as widgets shared between devices and potentially improved functionality for the device’s camera widget.

On the other hand, Nothing warns future testers that the open beta for all three phones is associated with an increased risk of instability and data loss.

Versions for phones (1) and (2a) Plus were released with the ability to revert to the previous Android 14 version – however, itn’Eastnot recommended to do at the moment due to the risk of errors and unforeseen problems – and also, again, losing all user data in the process.
