La Boîte à gens, the association which runs the Vins sur Vingt festival in Garennes-sur-Loire (Maine-et-Loire), held its general meeting on Friday December 6, 2024, at the association house. The agenda was to take stock of the 2024 edition, but above all present the bases of the 10e edition scheduled for Friday May 16 and Saturday May 17, 2025.
William Cherbonnier, the president of the association, congratulated the actors of this latest edition in his activity report: We are presenting a very good 2024 report, with great success due to a large turnout. The new location of the site, closer to the rear of the town hall, was well received by the public.
“The idea is to bring back our favorites”
The treasurer, Jérémy Cherbonnier, announced that the 2024 edition is the one which generated the best financial result since its creation. The high attendance and the mild weather led to significant consumption in the restaurant. This result makes it possible to anticipate possible weather problems experienced in the past.
With his other role in the association, the treasurer, responsible for programming, projected himself into the edition of 10e birthday. The idea is to bring back our favorites from the nine previous editions, out of the 108 musical groups that have already performed. The Tremplin will not be renewed this year. It made it possible to select a young musical group during an evening. We will reveal the final program during the final presentation of the festival, Friday April 4, 2025.
The president continued: The festival also wants to become a tool for satellite projects in order to develop partnerships with structures supporting social and cultural projects. In 2024, we cooperated with the social development and solidarity of the department of Maine-et-Loire and the elected officials of the municipal children’s council of the commune. For 2025, contacts are underway.
Other actions will be able to meet the expectations of festival-goers such as the creation of bicycle parking or simple access to water points. The search for funding has already been launched between partnerships, sponsorships and communities. The department has already announced its contribution to the event for the first time, the municipality always supporting the association since its creation. The new configuration of the Places site will definitively validate the positioning of the second stage, behind the town hall. The team is more motivated than ever to make this 10e edition, always free for the public, a new human success
