The most useless applications that are a hit

Under Android or iOS, there are a multitude of applications that have little use, but which remain popular in the application stores.

They sometimes have several million downloads and yet, we do not really understand the interest of these applications which are of no use, but monopolize resources and energy… Here is our ranking of the most useless applications which are a hit on the Play Store and the App Store.

Useless button (50,000)

With its simple, although slightly customizable, interface, the Useless Button application is not of much use… It may possibly be useful for athletes wishing to count their number of repetitions or rounds…

Perhaps also for compulsive clickers, or people who are soothed by repeated gestures, and again… Fortunately, it is completely free. However, only owners of an Android smartphone can download it.

Beer simulator (1 million)

To make your friends laugh or if you are the Sam of the evening (the one who doesn’t drink), you can download the Beer Simulator application and simulate that you are drinking a beer.

The screen of your smartphone gives the illusion of being a glass filled with a lager beer, fresh and full of flavors and when you tilt your smartphone, the liquid moves and diminishes, as if you had just drunk… It’s up to you then show off your acting skills so that the illusion is perfect… or almost.

Lighter Simulator (1 million)

Just like Beer Simulator, Lighter Simulator reproduces an object and its operation. In the case of Lighter Simulator, the application displays a Zippo-type lighter, with a flickering flame effect.

You can customize the lighter and the flame, see the sparks when you try to light your Zippo… Except perhaps during a concert where you are not likely to burn yourself, there is no point in this application which has yet been downloaded more than a million times and is very well rated.

Realistic Broken Screen (1 million)

Still in the object simulation, here is the realistic Broken Screen. Apart from making a joke by showing your broken screen or asking your parents for a new smartphone for Christmas, this application is useless.

The app lets you trigger the effect at a specific time or when you touch your device, with a sound of breaking glass to make the effect even more realistic. A joke to make once or twice, but no more.

Cat sounds (5 million)

Cat lovers, this Cat Sounds app is for you and provides you with a library of meows, purrs and other sounds from your feline friends. Although it may seem a little “too much”, you can transform your blaring wake-up alarm into softer purrs to wake you up from your sleep.

And if you like reading while listening to the soothing sounds of a cat, even if you can’t have one, the Cat Sounds app can be of service to you.

Love Test – Compatibility (5 million)

Of course, this love compatibility application should be taken as a secondary consideration… Even if you have difficulty finding a soul mate, this application will not be of much help to you. This can be a source of laughter among friends, but it would be risky to trust him with your heart.

The Love Test app invites you to answer a series of questions about you and the other person in the relationship, then establishing a compatibility percentage.

Holiday Countdown (5 million)

The Vacation Countdown app is perhaps one of the most useful in this selection, displaying a countdown of the days of work you have left to complete before you go on vacation.

Heavenly beaches or snowy peaks, you can personalize your countdown with background images and inspiring quotes. Users will also be able to include their luggage list so they don’t forget anything on the big day.

Tom the talking cat (500 million)

Compatible with Android and iOS, Tom the Talking Cat is a fun app that can pass the time if you really have nothing to do.

This is a cartoon-style virtual chat that offers several possible interactions. You can talk to Tom, pet him to make him purr, make him repeat phrases, make him fart, feed him, play a few mini-games and make him react to what you say or give him. Obviously essential…
