The GAME AWARDS 2024here we go!
And although, generally, it is not a very “Nintendo friendly“and that This year again (more than last year), there is not much to expect for fans of Nintendofind here the announcements concerning the plumber's firm (prices received, trailers revealed and new features) + the few big announcements to remember from this 2024 edition of THE GAME AWARDS. The “Nintendo announcements”:
- Ninja Gaiden Ragebound announced on Switch. New Ninja Gaiden by the team Blasphemous. Expected during the summer of 2025 – See here for details
- The irresistible pixel art of DAVE The Diver revient “in the Jungle” later in 2025
- Bandai Namco dusts off its Pac-Man with Shadow Labyrinth announced on Switch, Xbox Series and PS5 in 2025 – See here for details
- New video for CIVILIZATION VII planned on February 11, 2025 sur Switch
- Overview of Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game planned for March 2025
- Catly : ad for a cat game – 2025
- SONIC Racing CrossWorlds : Sonic had to come back and trample Mario's flowerbeds! Game planned soon on all platforms including Switch – See here for details
- In the ad Nintendo Switch, you may have missed it but there was Hello Kitty Island Adventure scheduled for January on Switch. Hooray (see details HERE).
- Hideki Kamiya announces a sequel to the cult Eyes. No platforms announced yet but we hope that the next Switch will be affected. In any case, the hype is already there! – See details HERE
Price to remember:
- Neva receives the “Games for Impact” award
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown receives the prize “Innovation for accessibility“.
- Astro Bot wins the prize for best family game right under the nose of Nintendo games (before winning other prizes…)
- Balatro receives the prize for best first independent game (ahead of ANIMAL WELLsniff)
- Balatro still crowned best independent game and best mobile game!
- The Game of the Year Award is attributed to… Astro Bot ! Note that the developers wanted to thank Nintendo when receiving their prize.

And it's over for this 2024 edition which sees Nintendo leave empty-handed (at the same time, the company didn't have much to defend…)
Between two trailers that try (and look alike), we will remember the triumph of Balatro (to the detriment ofANIMAL WELLunjustly forgotten) andAstro Bot, sacred Game of the Yearbut above all we will remember the announcement of the evening, even of the year: Eyes is going to have a sequel directed by Hideki Kamiya.
