When a person has money to spare and crazy ideas, combined with a passion for cars, anything becomes possible. And when we say everything, we really mean everything, whether it’s the creation of the most beautiful car in the world, or the greatest horror ever made.
We’ll let you judge the matter in the following case, but let’s say that we are in total excess with the Rammus Mustang, a car that combines the body of a 2015 Ford Mustang with that of a Ram pickup truck. The objective? Create a monster convertible that looks like a modern vehicle from the 1920s; 1920. Let’s say that the spare wheels on the sides betray the period which vaguely inspired the design. The hood was even extended to recreate the style of the era.
The car dates from 2017, but was recently rediscovered by professional automotive photographer Larry Chen, who spotted it in the collection of Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates.
It’s easy to see the connections to the Mustang with the top of the vehicle. For the Ram, let’s just say it becomes evident under the hood where a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine is responsible for the entertainment.
Everything seems very well executed. It’s more the idea of marrying the two vehicles that raises questions. One thing is certain, to get noticed on the road, it is difficult to find better.
