After Music streaming services, it’s PlayStation’s turn to offer your retrospective of the year 2024. The opportunity to see if you’ve played too much PS5 (or not). Or not…
The month of December rhymes with retrospectives of the services and products we used throughout the past year. In recent days, we have been able to discover how many trains we have taken or the number of minutes we have spent on our favorite music streaming service (Apple Music, Spotify, or Deezer).
It’s now PlayStation’s turn to join the dance, with what Sony calls Wrap-Up, available since December 10, as we can see on the PlayStation Blog (you may have received an email to warn you). Except that this initiative is currently affected by a bug which prevents certain fans from accessing its results. This is my case, as well as that of a colleague.
PlayStation’s failure for the 2024 players’ retrospective
Normally you just need to click on this link and log in to display your personalized statistics. But the web page shows a “See you soon” message, as if we had already viewed his retrospective. We tried on three different browsers (Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox), two devices (iMac, iPhone), logging in before or after and even going through the American PlayStation Blog. Each attempt resulted in the same error message.
On the PlayStation account “ I would love to see it…if only it worked… “, indicates for example EckoTheFox, with a screenshot displaying a different message (” Uh, oh… Looks like something went wrong “). He is not the only one to encounter this problem, even if some lucky people have managed to win their case. “ I finally got it to work for me “, explains Chace Berry. In any case, the Japanese firm will have to look into the subject to avoid spoiling the party.
This annoying bug is all the sadder as PlayStation is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, an anniversary far from being 100% successful. The 2024 Wrap-Up has also planned some specific features for the occasion, particularly in terms of packaging — “ It features retro PlayStation aesthetics and graphics that will remind you of 30 years of PlayStation history “. Among the real new features, it is supposed to show personalized historical statistics, in addition to the usual data (hours played, number of games launched, trophies unlocked, etc.).
Otherwise, the Xbox one is available and perfectly functional.
