Since its release in October 2024, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 seems to have reconciled FPS fans with the license. After a few disappointing opuses, players indeed seem satisfied to find an ambitious and nervous game, qualities on which Activision is visibly counting to attract even more players…
Upon its release, Black Ops 6 turned out to be a real juggernaut. Affirmed by its publisher as one of the best launches in the history of the license, the last part of the saga Black Ops seems promised a much brighter future than the previous one Modern Warfare IIIan opus widely criticized by fans and the public as a whole. With the return of an ambitious campaign mode, zombies mode and the addition of omni-movement which allows increased freedom of movement, players seem to have been delighted by the production of Raven Software and Treyarch.

Obviously ready to do anything to attract even more players to its FPS, Activision recently announced a free trial period from December 13th to December 20th.. A short week during which players wishing to try the game will be able to test a variety of modes on 6 different maps including the famous “Prop Hunt” mode in which hunters must try to flush out players hidden in elements of the decor. Little surprise though: players will also be able to try zombie mode on the “Liberty Falls” and “Terminus” maps.
Never enough players
It is now relatively common for Activision to organize free trial periods for its Call of Duty of the moment: a way for the publisher to attract ever more curious players to its FPS juggernaut. With the acquisition of Activision by Microsoft and the inclusion of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 in GamePass, the question of the continuation of this marketing tactic could arise.
In any case, fans who have not yet checked out or newcomers should find a solid FPS and a return to great form for the license. Having adopted the game-as-service model for several years, players can be sure that Black Ops 6 will experience regular content additions. Rated 17/20 during our test, we judged that it was “an episode not to be missed” and which you will therefore be able to try for free very soon.
