A leaker has just shared on Reddit what appears to be the future screen protections for the Switch 2. Thanks to him, we know a little more about the dimensions of the console. One thing is certain, Nintendo should not have too much difficulty finding it.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is one of the most anticipated consoles of the moment. It must be said that after more than 7 years of good and loyal service, it is time for the first Switch to pass the torch. In recent months, rumors and more or less serious rumors about the future BigN machine have multiplied.
One thing is certain, the Japanese firm must officially present its new machine during the current fiscal year. We should therefore have an announcement no later than March 31, 2025.. The thing was confirmed by Nintendo CEO himself, Shuntaro Furukawa.
Concerning the technical part of the device, things are obviously more vague. According to the latest rumors, the Switch 2 would have an 8-inch screen. We would also find under the hood an Nvidia Tegra T29 8-core ARM Cortex A78 SOC, accompanied by an Ampere iGPU in 1280 Cuda Cores. Concerning the RAM, it would rely on 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM at 7500 Mt/s.

Coming back to the slab, we now have a more concrete idea of its size thanks to the indiscretions of a very courageous leaker… If not smart. The renowned insider Wario64 has just relayed on X images stolen by an employee of what seems to be a screen protector for the Switch 2.
Thanks to this photo, we can also compare the size of the screen protectors between the original Switch and its successor. The opportunity for us to confirm the much larger dimensions of the next BigN machine. We imagine that Nintendo will not let this leak pass and that the manufacturer will do everything possible to find the author. The task should not be too difficult however, his face being perfectly visible in the reflection of the protective screen…
But that's not all. In his post, Wario64 also shares screenshots of a protective cover for the Switch 2 spotted on the Chinese site Alibaba. According to the measurements displayed on the product sheet, the cover measures 15 cm in width, 29.5 cm in length and 5 cm in thickness.
