Following a recent leak of the main specifications of the Intel Arc B580 and the announcement of two of two models from ASRock on Amazon, leakers @momomo_us and VideoCardz have found the first online store with the price of the next GPU. According to this information, the Intel Arc B580 Limited Edition, which is distributed by Intel itself instead of a board partner, will be priced starting at $259.
This corresponds to a price increase of approximately 45%, since the Intel Arc A580 was initially offered at an MSRP of $179.99 at launch. The price of the graphics card is therefore relatively close to that of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060. However, for this higher price, buyers also get 12 GB of VRAM instead of the 8 GB of the Arc A580. Intel also reduced the number of Xe cores from 24 to 20.
Only more detailed testing will determine whether the Arc B580 can actually outperform the similarly priced Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 thanks to its new Xe2 architecture in conjunction with significantly higher clock speeds (up to 2,850 MHz). With the first graphics cards based on the Xe2 architecture expected to hit the market in December, it will only be a few weeks before detailed testing reveals how the Intel Arc Battlemage performs in the highly competitive gaming graphics card market Given that Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5000 card is also expected to officially launch in January, we have an exciting few months ahead.
