Leaker reveals Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Snapdragon Edition ahead of release, with design differences from AMD and Intel models

After a short hiatus, WalkingCat has started leaking images of the upcoming Snapdragon X series laptops again. To recap, the reliable leaker shared images of Snapdragon Yoga Slim 7x and ThinkPad T14s series-equivalent laptops before Lenovo officially announced either model. This time, the X account (formerly Twitter) has turned its attention to the first ThinkBook model to feature a Snapdragon X series processor.

Specifically, the Snapdragon X-series chips will be used for the first time in the ThinkBook series in the form of a new version of the ThinkBook 16. At first glance, there’s not much to separate this new model from its AMD and Intel siblings. However, there are a few differences, such as the inclusion of “Dolby Atmos” branding that Lenovo doesn’t include under the ThinkBook 16’s keyboard on the AMD and Intel models.

Additionally, the Ethernet port has made way for this new Snapdragon variant, though it hasn’t been directly replaced. Instead, the new ThinkBook 16 sports an HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a pair of USB Type-C ports on its left side, while two USB Type-A ports, an SD card reader, and a Kensington lock slot adorn the opposite side. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown for now, including the Snapdragon X chipset that will underpin the device.
