While its presentation is expected in January 2025, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is already the subject of multiple leaks. The most recent, a video published on Redditunveils what appears to be a working prototype of the upcoming flagship from the South Korean giant.
Although the video, relayed by a since-deleted account, was initially accompanied by a humorous title mentioning the Galaxy S24 Ultra, several reliable sources, including informed tipster Ice Universe, have confirmed that it was indeed the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

A revisited design for more comfort
Unlike its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra reportedly opts for rounded corners and a flat frame, suggesting improved ergonomics. These changes, aligned with a new rounded One UI 7 interface, aim to offer better handling and a more comfortable experience, particularly for one-handed use. This design, which breaks with the sharp edges of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, recalls current trends from Google, Apple and OnePlus, while retaining Samsung's own aesthetic signature.
The dimensions of the smartphone also seem to be changing: thinner and undoubtedly lighter, it would retain a 6.8-inch Amoled screen, framed by ultra-thin borders. The rear side would house four photo modules, whose rings surrounding the sensors seem to have been replaced by a design inspired by the Galaxy Z Fold series.
A muscular technical sheet
Under the hood of this Galaxy S25 Ultra, rumors point to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. A choice which can be explained by the numerous problems encountered by the manufacturer, in particular due to the low yields linked to the 3 nm manufacturing process of the Exynos 2500. The Qualcomm processor, however, promises cutting-edge performance, exemplary fluidity, both when multitasking and during sessions gamingwith up to 16 GB of RAM.
On the photo side, the smartphone would have a 200 megapixel main camera, accompanied by three secondary sensors: an ultra wide-angle and two telephoto lenses with optical zoom (5x and 3x). At the front, a 12 MP selfie camera would complete the package. The device would also have a 5000 mAh battery, compatible with 45 W fast charging and 15 W wireless charging, and would run Android 15 with 7 years of software support.
An imminent launch
Samsung is expected to unveil the successor to the Galaxy S24 Ultra in San Francisco on January 23, 2025, alongside other models in the Galaxy S25 series. If the leaks are true, the price of the Galaxy S25 Ultra could exceed that of the Pixel 9 Pro XL and iPhone 16 Pro Max, due to higher production costs.
