A new entry in the Geekbench database reveals an unknown processor from Intel, the Core Ultra 5 225F. One of its characteristics is that it does not include a graphics solution (iGPU).
This Core Ultra 5 225F without an integrated GPU shows interesting performance improvements compared to its predecessors. The scores returned by Geekbench reveal that this new 10-core chip is as efficient as a Core i5-13600, which has a higher number of cores. The Core Ultra 5 225F scores a single-core score of 2,653 points and a multi-core score of 13,028 points.
It combines six P-Cores and four E-Cores all accompanied by 20 MB of L3 cache. In these tests, the chip reached a maximum frequency of 4.887 GHz. Compared to the Core i5-14400F, its predecessor, the performance gain is around 13% in single-core and multi-core tests.
The most interesting thing is that it manages to beat the 14-core Core i5-13600 by 5% in both situations. This Core Ultra 5 225F is expected to be part of Intel’s new 65W TDP lineup, targeting mainstream desktop systems with limited overclocking capabilities. C
Intel is likely to launch its Core Ultra 200F series at CES 2025.
