Gigabyte has quietly introduced an update to the G34WQC gaming monitor (currently $319.99 on Amazon) that it has been selling worldwide for a few years. So far, the company has only listed what appears to be a full product page for the G34WQCP. So while the monitor’s specs and differences from the older G34WQC are known, its price is not.

That said, the mass of similarities between the two monitors implies that Gigabyte will launch the G34WQCP at roughly the same price as its predecessor, which was originally available for $399.99 in the US. According to the G34WQCP’s product page, it relies on a 34-inch VA panel with a 1500R curvature, just like the G34WQC. Additionally, it continues to offer 350 nits of brightness with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, 90% DCI-P3 color space coverage, and a 4,000:1 contrast ratio.

Additionally, the monitor sports a 3,440 x 1,440 pixel resolution, 1ms MPRT response time, AMD FreeSync Premium support, and viewing angles of 178°(H)/178°(V), as well as the following ports:

  • 1x prise jack 3,5 mm
  • 2 x DisplayPort 1.4
  • 2x HDMI 2.0

Additionally, Gigabyte continues to include a pair of 2W speakers, a height and tilt adjustable stand, and 100 x 100mm VESA mounts for using third-party mounting solutions. As far as we can tell, the main difference between the G34WQC and G34WQCP is their refresh rates. Specifically, the G34WQCP hits 180Hz, a 36Hz and 25% improvement over the 144Hz refresh rate provided by the G34WQC. Please check out Gigabyte’s G34WQCP product page for more hardware details.
