Since November 18 and until December 1, you can take advantage of different promotions offered by Nintendo. Among them, a controller which caused a shortage of stock as soon as it was released!
A retro controller
Between 2018 and 2021, Nintendo released four controllers based on older models (respectively NES, SNES, N64 and Mega Drive), compatible with the Nintendo Switch.
On the occasion of Black Friday, it's the Nintendo 64 wireless model which is currently at -30% (€34.99 instead of €49.99). Released on October 26, 2021, the controller, a victim of its success, immediately found itself out of stock, and for many months, all the copies put back on sale sold instantly.
October 25, 2021 is the Switch Online + Additional Pack subscription which was made accessible, allowing access to Nintendo 64 gamesSega Genesis, and Game Boy Advance, as well as DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Splatoon 2. Please note, the purchase of the Nintendo 64 controller is reserved exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribersand each account is limited to 4 controllers maximum.

Details on the controller
The controller imitates the style of the original, except for a few differences. Three buttons have been added, the RZ button, the Home button and the pairing buttonall located on the back of the controller. Also, the “Rumble Pak”, this small part that could be added to the original controller and which allowed vibrations to be made, is a simple solid part, since the vibrations are already integrated into the controller. According to several opinions, the controller would also be of better qualityoffering better resistance to wear.
Before its release, some players had issued doubts about the real compatibility of the controller. Indeed, the controller obviously works with Nintendo 64 games, but this can also be used for other gamesjust like the Switch Pro controller. Nintendo specifies that This is not the case for all gamesdue to the button layout. It is especially the right analog stick that the N64 controller lacks, making gameplay in some games difficultor even impossible. Conversely, many players have testified that the controller had greatly facilitated their gameplay on certain N64 games such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The controller seems more intended for players of N64 games, or simply aficionados of the console which will soon celebrate its thirty years.
