Samsung is preparing a major update for the Galaxy A series. Next year, the new Galaxy A56 is expected to get 45W fast charging.
Here’s what we know
This will be the first A series smartphone with this feature. Charging power on previous Galaxy A models, like the A55, was limited to 25W.
The yet-to-be-announced Galaxy A56 is listed in the China Certification Council (CCC) database under the model number SM-A5660. The certification confirms support for charging up to 45W (10V, 4.5A), which is more than the base Galaxy S24.
The changes will be interesting for owners of previous Galaxy A models, as the A56 has a new Exynos 1580 chip, an improved camera and longer update support.
