Recent leaks report Oppo’s decision to give the upcoming Reno13 series as much as the iPhone 16 with a new camera bump. According to a new report, the front panels of Android smartphones feature the standard center hole rather than a Dynamic Island but a dynamic island-shaped cutout.
The Reno13 and/or 13 Pro could beat Apple on another point, namely the depth of the screen edges. Popular leaker Digital Chat Station has uploaded a purported side-by-side comparison between the new iPhone and one of Oppo’s upcoming smartphones (the less compact less compact of the two), and reckons the latter is superior in terms of screen-to-body ratio.
Digital Chat Station also claims that the Reno13 series will also have metal mid-frames in common with the iPhone, while those of the Reno12 series were made of plastic in order to reduce their overall mass.
Also rumored to feature magnetic wireless charging, more waterproofing and premium MediaTek Dimensity silicon, the Reno13 series is expected to bring a lot of value to the sub-flagship iPhone sometime in November 2024.
