Huawei has not yet officially revealed the launch date of the Mate 70 series, but its CEO has spilled the beans. The Chinese tech giant’s next flagship series will debut in China, but it’s not yet clear whether it will be released globally.
In recent weeks, many Chinese manufacturers have announced new flagship phones, and it looks like this trend will continue until the end of the year. Huawei is the latest to join the list by announcing a launch date for the Mate 70 series.
The launch date of the next flagship series was revealed by Yu Chengdong (Richard Yu), CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, at the Guanghzou Auto Show. According to the executive, the Mate 70 series will be unveiled on November 26. However, Huawei will not only announce the Mate 70 series on this date.
At the event, Huawei will also announce a new luxury car brand called Maextro, which is said to be a collaboration with JAC. This explains why the launch date of the Mate 70 series was revealed at an auto show. Maextro will join Airo, Luxeed and Stelato as the fourth automotive brand in Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA).
The Mate 70 series is expected to have at least three models. Besides the standard Mate 70, there should be a Mate 70 Pro and a Mate 70 Pro Plus. A fourth model has also been rumored. If we refer to the previous generation, it should be the successor to the Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design. However, a report from earlier this month indicated that the phone could be introduced under the name Mate 70 Ultimate Design.
