As in the world of cinema, the horror genre has widely established itself in the video game industry, even becoming a type of production widely acclaimed by gamers and which is a hit on online broadcast platforms, such as Twitch. Although there is a real craze for horror games, these are not titles that should be put into everyone's hands. Out of curiosity, some players tried the adventure… before quickly turning around. Recently, Reddit user by the name of “I_like_maps” decided to take his courage in both hands and try this title from a terrifying video game license!
Only some time after launching Amnesia : The Bunkerhe noticed a detail that was astonishing to say the least… and also particularly understandable ! While examining one of the trophies he had just unlocked, in this case “Enlisted” (“Enlisted” in the original version), he noticed that many players had decided to stop the adventure after having “discovered the office of the administrator”, as mentioned in the description of the trophy. Indeed, between this one and the next one, the Reddit user points out that there is a 20% drop in players ! In their defense, the plot places the player face to face with the game's terrible creature shortly after, and it, given the context, is truly terrifying!
Amnesia, one of the most successful indie horror game franchises of the last decade
Since the beginning of the 2010s, the developers of the Frictional Games studio have built up a solid reputation in the field of survival horror. For his part, Amnesia : The Bunker radically changes the setting to make us experience a distressing closed-door experience in which our hero, Henri Clément, is none other than a French soldier from the First World War, trapped in a rather… ill-famed bunker.
