A year later, Samsung would present its Galaxy 25 earlier than the S24 at the same time, with a release date shortly after.
Samsung's Galaxy S25 could be unveiled on January 22 or 23, 2025. This launch would be slightly delayed compared to that of its predecessor, the Galaxy S24, which was unveiled on January 17, 2024, with a release date two weeks later, January 31.
A (slightly) later presentation for the Samsung Galaxy S25
This latest indiscretion comes to us from two different sources. The first is the media FNNews which claims that the Galaxy S25 will be presented on January 22 in South Korea during a dedicated event. The second source is none other than the leaker Max Jambor who puts forward the date of January 23, which would simply correspond to the time difference in another region of the world.
Samsung plans to unveil several models during this event, including the main range of Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra, as well as a new model for the moment called “Galaxy S25 Slim”. Initially planned for a later release in 2025, we do not yet know if its development is sufficiently advanced for a presentation or a tease from the Korean giant during its next “Galaxy Unpacked” event.
A release date shortly after
If the presentation is postponed, this would imply a delay in the release date of the new models. The Galaxy S24, launched in January 2024, was available in stores from January 31. Therefore, Galaxy S25 sales could begin in Februarywhich would give Samsung more time to refine its product and align its business strategy.
Put under pressure by fierce competition, the company must react by offering innovative products. Thus, 2025 could mark the year of the first smartphone that bends in three from Samsung, to respond to the Huawei Mate XT. The Korean giant could also focus a little more on the finesse of its devices, with a “Galaxy S25 Slim” which would follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.
