For many years, Laurence Ferrari formed a star couple with Thomas Hugues, both on our screens but also in their private lives. But then, in 2007, there was a break. At the time, it was the site Gala who announced the news. “Laurence Ferrari, who presents Sunday + on Canal+ and Thomas Hugues, journalist at I-Télé, have decided to end their relationship. Their professional collaboration – they set up a production company – would continue“, our colleagues argued. Information which has been confirmed over time despite their fifteen years of living together and the births of their two children, Baptiste (born in 1993) and Laëtitia (born in 1995).
Since then, Thomas Hugues has remarried producer Isabelle Roche and Laurence Ferrari has started a new life with violinist Renaud Capuçon. Together, they fell in love at first sight after an almost failed meeting in 2008. They married the following year and the year after that, in 2010, they welcomed their first child together, little Eliott. A new happiness for Laurence Ferrari, then aged 44.
People tend to tell us that the time has passed…
The journalist from CNews and Europe 1 spoke on the subject in Psychologies Magazine in 2011 and assured that this last pregnancy had been completely wanted. “A true desire and a true happiness to be able to complete motherhood, at this age when, in fact, we tend to be told that the time has passed…“, she declared to our colleagues. And to remember with great enthusiasm: “It was an extraordinary pregnancy – right to the end as I gave birth two weeks after stopping work.“
According to Laurence Ferrari, having a child “late in life” was even a more pleasant experience. “I believe that this is precisely the result of this maturity: during my first pregnancies, like all young mothers, I was a little anxious, I feared a total upheaval in my life. While, this time, I lived through this period calmly. Serenely“, added the journalist. And to rejoice in living her dream life: “I feel like I'm living a woman's journey among many others. It's not another life, it's still my life. The one I want, the one I chose to have.“
