The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is expected to launch in early 2025, and while previous reports have suggested that both the standard S25 and S25+ could feature the Exynos 2500, Ice Universe reports otherwise. The tipster states with certainty that all models will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite worldwide.
This wouldn’t be the first time Samsung has offered Snapdragon-only S series flagship phones worldwide. The S23 (Galaxy) series, for example, did not have an Exynos variant. Regarding the new range, the absence of Exynos options could be explained by the low rates of return of the Exynos 2500 Rate of return of the Exynos 2500.
However, the Galaxy S25 Plus was recently spotted on Geekbench with what is believed to be the Exynos 2500. Of course, the leaker who shared the result, @Jukanlosreve, mentioned that the specific device was a sample, and that the benchmark was apparently a test.
The lack of an Exynos variant for the Galaxy S25 series wouldn’t be a bad thing, though. Compared to Snapdragon variants, Exynos-equipped models generally don’t offer the same level of performance. They are also often prone to thermal and efficiency issues.
