GTA 6 should leave no player behind, that’s it!

Will you have to break the bank to enjoy GTA 6 in good conditions or will Rockstar Games work miracles? The CEO of Take-Two Interactive spoke on this subject.

GTA 6 has so far been announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but that doesn’t mean it will be limited to these platforms only. If we take the example of Grand Theft Auto 5, Take-Two did not hesitate to release it on all possible consoles and on PC. It has even become a bit like Rockstar Games’ Skyrim which, eleven years after its launch, has sold 205 million copies. A figure that is constantly increasing, and we still do not understand how it is possible. Inhabitants of other planets must participate in the effort, no doubt.

GTA 6 should be fine everywhere, don’t panic

According to Strauss Zelnick’s recent comments on GTA 6, the PC version should be released, but the question is above all knowing when at this stage. Looking at Rockstar Games and the publisher’s previous strategy for Red Dead Redemption 2, the game came just over a year after its console release on Steam and the Epic Games Store. What is certain is that the company should not wait long before launching one of the most anticipated games of this generation on PC. But in the meantime, it is the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S which will benefit from GTA 6 in the fall of 2025.

During the sharing of the latest financial report with investors, CEO Strauss Zelnick agreed to respond to concerns around the Xbox Series S version. A cheaper but also less powerful console which could have been the source of problems for certain studios. Should owners of the machine be alarmed? No according to the boss of Take-Two Interactive.

« We support the platforms where consumers are, and we find a way to support the platforms despite the different levels of technology. […] I’m not really worried and I’ve never worried about hardware developments ». There will of course be concessions, as usual, but GTA 6 should not leave any player behind, that’s said! Not even future buyers of the Nintendo Switch 2? Strauss Zelnick did not wish to comment on Big N’s next hardware.
