Elzeard, an app to simplify the work of market gardeners or technology at the service of traditional agriculture

Elzeard, a young company from Pessac, has developed a simple and effective digital app to support farmers, help them to better organize themselves and save time.

Launched in January 2023, this fully customizable application is dedicated to the specialized crops sector. Its objective is to help the producer on a daily basis throughout the entire cycle, from crop planning to delivery.

We found that there weren’t really any tools to help growers. Most of them still work on the notebook, the Véléda board… it’s still very artisanal. Bringing tools that make it possible to simplify and improve production processes and save time is virtuous. »

Florence Amardeilh

Founder of Elzeard

“The name Elzeard was chosen in reference to the short story by Jean Giono, “the man who planted trees” through its allegory close to our desire to provide means and tools to farmers to facilitate their daily lives and help with development. sustainable. » Gilles Delaporte, co-founder of Elzeard.

The concept was born at the crossroads of three observations:
– The lack of tools for the production of specialized crops (market gardening, arboriculture, field vegetables, floriculture, etc.),
– The age of computer technologies used in agriculture (in 2020),
– The desire to invest in supporting the agricultural sector and the territories.

The proposal is help with the organization and management of activities, saving time thanks to the assistance offered, a means of mobilizing all of your data for different services (traceability, sharing, analysis, etc.).

Our ambition is to accelerate commercially and develop in France and the specialized crop sectors (market gardening, field vegetables, floriculture, arboriculture.) then in Southern Europe (Spain, Italy).

In terms of projects, it is to continue the basic development of the tool to provide it with ever more flexibility, the ability to adapt to the field and the needs of producers. The objective is also to integrate with upstream and downstream (sales platform, purchases, inputs, etc.) and to introduce advanced services in the form of add-ons around specialized functions such as rotation optimization, optimization of occupied surfaces, response to hazards, automation of data collection, etc.
