The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra promises exceptional performance, potentially outperforming the iPhone 16 Pro Max, according to Geekbench leaks. These results remain to be confirmed in January 2025.

Tl;dr

  • The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, will be powerful.
  • Leaked benchmarks reveal impressive performance.
  • The S25 Ultra could outperform the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Galaxy S24 Ultra.

A glimpse of the future: the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Next year, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will enter the market. This smartphone promises to be a real powerhouse, largely thanks to the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. But how powerful will this new model be? The latest benchmark leaks give us some clues.

Performance that impresses

Regular leaker Jukanlosreve shared on X a screenshot of a Geekbench result that he claims is from the US version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. According to this leak, the phone would be equipped with at least 12GB de RAM and would run natively under Android 15 (via One UI).

As for the scores, they are impressive: a single-core result of 3,148 and a multi-core score of 10,236. These figures far surpass those of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and even those of the« Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max et son chipset A18 Pro ».

Comparison with competitors

Even though the iPhone 16 Pro Max is an excellent phone and greatly improved the S24 Ultra in our comparisons, it could be relegated to second place if these benchmarks are confirmed for Samsung's new flagship. However, it is always prudent to take these results with a grain of salt.

Results to be taken with caution

It is true that a single benchmark is not enough to conclude on the power of a device. Additionally, Geekbench results can easily be falsified, and screenshots even more so. For example, a previously leaked benchmark for the S25 Ultra showed a slightly lower single-core score of 3.011 and a multi-core score of 9.706. These figures were then compared to those of another benchmark supposed to have been tested on the OnePlus 13, recently launched in China.

In any case, we will not fail to submit the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra to our battery of tests as soon as it is released in January 2025, in order to see how it measures up to the latest iPhones and these leaks.
