It didn’t take long for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 development team to roll out a massive update. On the menu for this important November patch: significant weapon balancing, an improvement in in-game stability, bug fixes and the nerf to a relatively maligned specialty.
BO6’s November 4 patch note in broad terms
The patch note for this new fix on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 tells us that an improvement in the stability of the game and that various fixes have been made.
Overhaul of spawns
Among the most awaited fixes we have the “spawning” (reappearance), the latter should be much more responsive and avoid “spawn kills” (kill upon reappearance). However, the latter will not be infallible; the developers are waiting for feedback from players to make further improvements.
Reduced scout effectiveness
Criticized since the launch of Black Ops 6, the scout asset specialty was considered far too strong by players. For good reason, it was a real cheating tool, completely legal, added by the developers.
Except that this asset shouldn’t be as strong now; Scout specialty duration reduced from 2 to 1.5 seconds with further reduction coming in a future update.
Note that the exploitation of the bug which allowed the reset of the required activation time of the specialty has been removed. Changing your arsenal during the game no longer allows you to obtain the scout bonus, the timer persists despite all your actions.
Improved quality of life
Treyarch continues its momentum by making various improvements to the stability of the game. We highlight an improvement when interacting with the message of the day and voice communications, Zombie-related achievements now appear correctly, players who join a game are no longer thrown into the battlefield before selecting the arsenal and stance change cooldowns have been adjusted to reduce the effectiveness of repeated movements from prone to standing.
Nerf assault rifles for an upgrade to submachine guns
Finally, the last point we would like to address before the full details of the November 4 patch note: nerfs and weapon ups. Below you will find the full changes to the weapons: assault rifles have been nerfed in favor of submachine guns!
Below you will find the assault rifles:
Below you will find the submachine guns:
And icing on the cake, shotguns have also been heavily nerfed. The damage of the Marine SP and the ASG-89 has been reduced (from 106 to 92) for better balancing during matches.
