Lenovo product manager predicts Panther Lake-H release date in early 2026; an X leaker suggests otherwise

We got our first look at Intel’s Arrow Lake-H processor, the Core Ultra 9 285H, on Geekbench today. It is expected to launch at CES 2025 alongside the refreshed Core Ultra 9 285H Arrow Lake-HX and Raptor Lake. Its successor, Panther Lake (Core Ultra 300), is also expected to launch around the same time next year.

The information comes from a Lenovo product manager (via ITHome, @harukaze5719 on X). However, user This doesn’t seem entirely implausible, and Intel could launch Panther Lake around the same time as Lunar Lake.

SquashBionic’s statement comes in line with Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger’s promises of a Panther Lake launch in 2025. Given that a Panther Lake chip has already been put into mass production and the possible launch should not be very far away. Intel could also unveil part of the Panther Lake lineup in 2025 and the rest in 2026. So far, we know of at least five Panther Lakes; the most capable model is the Panther Lake, with a maximum power of 45 watts.

ITHome’s report adds that Panther Lake, unlike Lunar Lake, will not come with onboard memory. However, there is one “exception” that is not Panther Lake-U, which means that at least one Panther Lake-branded processor will ship with non-upgradeable RAM. This sentiment is echoed by supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in a recent Medium post https://medium.com/@mingchikuo/inside-intels-lunar-lake-a-promise-that-became- a-problem-e91d872cee62recent. Apparently, OEMs weren’t very enthusiastic about memory restrictions, and Intel didn’t have much control over DRAM prices.
