Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown: the “gifts” following problems are laughable! | Xbox

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown was certainly the most disastrous game launch in recent months and, while the game was not playable for days, Nacon and Kylotonn Games announce the compensation that will be offered to players for the inconvenience suffered . But everything suggests that they are not really to the taste of the players.

Compensation for paid early access that did not work

Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown was released on September 12, 2024, but 7-day early access was offered for those who purchased the most expensive edition of the game. The problem is that this early access did not work simply not, since major problems occurred on TDU Solar Crown from its launch, making games almost impossible to launch due to the mandatory connection.

It could have stopped there, except that the connection problems, crashes and various bugs continued well after, including after the official launch of the game for everyone. Even the 300 patch update couldn't prevent other issues from occurring and several game maintenances were put in place afterward, attempting to fix issues here and there.

Nacon then promised rewards for those who played the game with the Gold edition before September 12 as an apology for this catastrophic launch. The publisher announced on the networks what it is, namely:

  • A new version of the 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe “Aventurier” edition
  • A pack of 5 “Pioneers of the Solar Crown” stickers

Is that all? Yes.

Beside the plate

So here are the compensations offered to players who believed in the game, who spent dozens of euros to buy the Gold edition of the game which did not work for days, and which was the only one to allow early access to Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.

On the networks, the responses from players were not long in coming and many are complaining about compensation considered laughable given the extent of the problems suffered since the launch, and the cost of the Gold edition of the game which did not have kept his promises.

“Stickers? It's a joke” indicates a player on Twitter, while another criticizes the post: “Next time email me directly and tell me to go fuck myself instead of announcing something like this.” What a waste of a very good franchise. »

On the subReddit dedicated to the game, there is also amazement and the comments are as much sarcastic as they are tinged with a huge new disappointment. It is obvious that the publisher's response seems far from the expectations of the Test Drive community, once again.
