Last September, he published an article on the cover of the prestigious magazine Cell Genomics revealing an unprecedented Neanderthal lineage which would have lived in the Mandrin cave (Drôme) for fifty millennia without mixing with local populations. After two works devoted to this Neanderthal man who occupied thirty years of his life, his latest book* attacks our direct ancestor: Homo Sapiens. In doing so, Ludovic Slimak offers new insight into understanding the evolution of humanity by focusing on the trigger that led Sapiens to impose itself on the entire planet.
