Nvidia VP Rev Lebaredian has claimed that AI-powered humanoid robots could soon live and work alongside us.
During the World Congress on Innovation and Technology 2024 in Armenia, Lebaredian explained that these machines will become accessible to everyone, as electric cars have been.
Lebaredian stressed that robots should imitate human appearance and behavior to fit in perfectly. Spaces like factories, offices, hospitals or warehouses are designed for human activity. Rather than modifying these environments, he advocates adapting robots to this infrastructure. Although some robots may benefit from wheels instead of legs, humanoid movement remains key to accomplishing complex tasks.
Advances in AI have accelerated the development of robots capable of walkingto balance and adapt. Lebaredian believes that this combination of robotics and AI paves the way for versatile solutions. The platform Nvidia Omniverse already makes it possible to train these robots in ultra-realistic simulations before their deployment. Once in the real world, they continue to learn by interacting with their environment.
