All eyes are on Grand Theft Auto VI which will not be released until fall 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar Games is taking advantage of the lull period preceding the release of GTA 6 to bring back from the dead another of its cult video games. To everyone’s surprise, John Marston’s adventure is coming to PC in a few weeks.

PC players will have waited 14 long years before finally seeing the open world western imagined by the Rockstar Games teams arrive on PC. Read Dead Redemption is released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in May 2010, then on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in August 2023. A year and two months later, the North American publisher arrives on its steed and releases John Marston’s adventure on PC (Epic Game Store, Rockstar Store, Steam) with several notable improvements in its bag to make this typical epic of the great west ever more memorable.

Developed in collaboration with Double Eleven, the PC versions of Read Dead Redemption and the Undead Nightmare expansion are announced for October 29, 2024. According to the release from Rockstar Gamesthey support native 4K resolution, display on ultrawide monitors and HDR10. Additionally, RDR on PC is compatible with keyboards/mouses. There is also talk of upscaling technologies making Red Dead Redemption a more beautiful and epic adventure than ever.

For the first time since its creation, John Marston’s adventure can be experienced on PC with stunning new details. Red Dead Redemption and its iconic zombie horror story, Undead Nightmare, is coming to PC on October 29.

In collaboration with Double Eleven, this new version brings PC-specific improvements, including native 4K resolution up to 144 Hz on compatible hardware, support for Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9) monitors. ), HDR10 support, and full keyboard and mouse functionality.

NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling technologies are also supported, as well as NVIDIA DLSS image generation, adjustable drawing distances, shadow quality settings, and more.
